Preparing the meat for tomorrow's Taco fund raiser. Rest assured this is not just some preseasoned taco meat from a grocery store. We're hoping to make this a monthly event. With food truck style meals minus the truck. So come out tomorrow night at five and support the Risingsun firefighters and help us to make this a successful event. So that we can continue with new ideas.

6/5/26 Tomorrow at 10am is the monthly test of the Outdoor Warning Sirens. Remember, these are meant to be heard outdoors and not indoors. Always have multiple ways to receive emergency notifications: Weather radios, Wood County Alerts, phone apps, local media, etc.

The members of the Risingsun Fire Department would like to congratulate Madison Reinhart on recently completing her fire training and earning her Firefighter II (FF2) certification.

This achievement marks an important milestone, as Madison becomes the first firefighter in our department's history to earn FF2 certification. Coincidentally, she is also the first female firefighter in the department to reach this level of certification.

Madison currently serves both the Risingsun and Kansas Fire Departments, demonstrating her commitment to serving multiple communities. While we're sure both departments appreciate her dedication, we're pretty confident that Risingsun is her favorite.

Congratulations, Madison, on this outstanding accomplishment. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the fire service are an example to us all. We are proud to have you as a member of our department and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future.
