Yesterday I (Sarah) had the honor as a returning judge at the UWRF Innovation Challenge. As some of you may know, I moved to Clayton, WI, a few years ago, but River Falls still has a big place in my life, serving as my second office and #1 shopping destination. In any case, I was interviewed by a reporter, and they asked what I enjoyed about being a returning judge. That took me back to my WeatherVane Creamery days and being in the same/similar spot as the students pitching (pictured.) There is a BIG place in my heart for encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit and being a part of helping them WIN. It's an honor, and it means all that much more that I am supporting my alma mater and, of course, WISCONSIN!

Minnesota is known for many things — its over 10,000 lakes, the birth place of Prince, Minnesota nice and frozen tundra — but what about muffins? Doug Mack wrote about the history or state foods, including Minnesota's state muffin.
