FYI: tonight's water fun event at Hoffman Park has been postponed due to poor air quality.

Tonight's Cookout Conversation at Hoffman Park and the River Falls Fire Department's water fun event have both been postponed due to poor air quality. Plans for rescheduling will be announced at a later date.

The City encourages residents and visitors to follow public health recommendations during the Air Quality Advisory currently in effect until 12 p.m. on Friday. Consider limiting outdoor activity and be sure to check on neighbors and others who might be vulnerable under these conditions.

This Thursday, July 16 is our water fun event at Hoffman Park! Join the River Falls Fire Department from 5-7:30 p.m. and cool off with plenty of fun water activities for the kids. Plus, the City of River Falls will be hosting its next Cookout Conversations at the same time, with free hot dogs and ice cream. We hope to see you there!

What better way to cool down this Saturday than to join the River Falls Fire Department for the kids water fights during River Falls Days? Come join the fun on Saturday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station (115 2nd Street). We hope to see you there!

At approximately 12:35 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, the River Falls Fire Department was dispatched by Pierce County Dispatch for a reported structure fire on North Wasson Lane in River Falls.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed a working fire in a residential building, with smoke visible from both the front and rear windows. Firefighters initiated suppression efforts, working to bring a basement fire under control and conducting a thorough search and overhaul of the affected areas to ensure there was no further extension.
Crews remained on scene until approximately 3:45 p.m. to complete overhaul operations.
No injuries were reported.

The walls and roof are now complete on the new apparatus bay! It took less than two weeks from the first wall going up to today. The work now moves to the inside as crews install plumbing, electrical, and other interior elements.

This weekend, the River Falls Fire Department pauses to reflect, remember, and give thanks.

Flags will be flown at half-staff on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, as May 2-3 is recognized as National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.

We are proud to serve a community that supports its firefighters. Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and honor their legacy.

To all past and present members of the River Falls Fire Department, THANK YOU for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to protecting our community.
