Effective Monday, February 28, 2022 the Governor has ordered that the State's indoor mask mandate be partially lifted based on declining COVID metrics. The Cook County Health Department has announced that it is following the Governor's order. Barring any last minute changes, the River Forest Park District will follow suit by removing the indoor mask mandate in District facilities and programs for both participants and staff. Please note that programs at D90 facilities will continue to require masks to be worn.
The District has been diligent in exercising a conscious regard for safety by adhering to the Governor's mandates and the guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Illinois Department of Public Health, and local health officials. The District retains the right to reinstate mitigation strategies should it become necessary.
We understand that some individuals may choose to continue to wear a mask, and ask that everyone be respectful of one another's decision.
