Even our Village employees’ children are helping spread the word about our River Front Fest this weekend! Their excitement says it all — this is going to be an amazing community celebration filled with fun, food, music, a great carnival and memories for everyone to enjoy. We can't wait to see you there.

Are you coming to River Front Fest this weekend?

This year, all carnival rides will be located at National Field — but don’t worry, we have plenty of parking options available and we encourage residents who live close to walk!

Parking Options:
• River Grove Recreation Center, Legion, and Library parking lots located at 8645 Grand Ave. (police will be on hand to help people cross safely)
• River Grove School at River Grove Ave. and Thatcher Ave. (3 lots available). We will also have several golf carts available to transport people to and from the school parking lots.
• Along Arnold Street and at the Metra lot. The River Grove PACE bus will operate FREE all weekend, taking people to and from these areas. Signs will be posted showing where to wait for the bus.

We can’t wait to see everyone this weekend for a great time at River Front Fest!

Make sure to stop by for the opening of the fest to get your giveaway! Today’s first giveaway is kids t-shirts. These are available on a first come, first served basis while quantities last, and you must be present to receive yours.

Today’s the day! River Front Fest 2026 officially opens today at 5 PM! Come out and enjoy live music, delicious food vendors, carnival rides, giveaways, and so much more as we celebrate all weekend long. We can’t wait to see everyone there for an unforgettable kickoff to the fest!

To close off River Front Fest 2026 we will have Chicago Tribute Anthology Sunday, May 31st, from 6:30-8:30pm. CTA brings life to the ‘Golden Age’ of Chicago by meticulously recreating many of the great songs from the first 11 albums. Enjoy CTA live and experience all of these classic songs!

MELLENCOUGAR will be on the stage Sunday May 31st from 3:30-5:30pm. Mellencougar is the only tribute to John Mellencamp that has featured members of John’s actual band! The shared experiences described in John’s lyrics bring the audience and band together while singing songs about our youthful and rebellious days in songs like “Hurt So Good”, “Ain’t Even Done with the Night”, and “I Need a Lover”. Mellencougar has shared the stage with Eddie Money, Blake Shelton, the Spin Doctors, Styx, Henry Lee Summer, Loverboy, Night Ranger, Jamey Johnson and many other national acts.
