Phoenix here, who is 4 to 5 years old, is heartworm positive. You can see that he didn’t have a great life before he came to us. His owners allowed him to live outdoors with the flies gnawing away at his ears to the degree that he no longer has pointed ears. The tips have been eaten away. 😞

We would love to treat him for his heartworm. We need to find him a home, or foster home. We are willing to pay for it. We just need to know there’s somewhere for him to go.

We are prepared to pay for his heartworm treatment, but he needs somewhere to go.

We think he has a prey drive for outdoor cats, but perhaps in a home he would be different. We aren’t sure… so therefore we are seeing no cats.

So many of us hate to think of Summer coming to a close, but we are making our way through and soon cooler temps will sneak in, we’ll be flipping that calendar to September, and we’ll be in the mood to decorate our porches and entryways w those beautiful Fall mums from Schwartz’s that we all love so much!

Get a jump start on it by ordering now so you’ll be all set w your beautiful mums, and while doing so, know that you’re helping a shelter guest receive basic care such as vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm prevent. We can’t offer these necessities without donations from fundraisers like this.

Ok- let’s get this week off to a great start w a long overdue gratitude post!

We have had our hands full working to keep focus on networking our guests in hopes of finding placement for them, as we were critically full and needed to free up space. Mission accomplished 🙌🏻, thanks to our friends and supporters who shared, and of course much gratitude owed to those who and took shelter guests HOME! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

But, we NEED you to know how thankful we are for deliveries of gifts!

If we miss a public thank you, please know that it’s bc we are busy trying to work our magic, and in no way does it suggest we are not grateful. We assure you that every single package that is delivered to the Shelter is opened with appreciation, and we will put it to good use!

There are no pictures, but we have received several bags of our choice of dog food, which is Purina one, healthy digest. Thank you for these very very generous gifts for our Shelter guests.

We have had no takers for our beautiful boy Phoenix.

Phoenix is heartworm positive. He’s super gentle. He’s 4-5 years old. He seems to like other dogs. No cats please.

We WANT to save him ❤️ but we need your help.

We need a HERO. Phoenix needs a hero.

He is the absolute sweetest boy.

Please someone step up to foster him.

What a simply marvelous Saturday it was at the Shelter!

You know…..when we get one shelter guest adopted into a really good home, it’s amazing.

But when TWO awesome dogs who are both very dog friendly, and happen to really like each other…. and a beautiful family has lost their dog, and their home is feeling empty without the pitter patter of a four legged friend, so they say “you know what, can we take them both?” Well, you could almost knock us over with a feather!  

We are not kidding! Gabby and her husband came to the shelter today after talking with our friends Wade and her 4 legged friends, and they wanted to meet some dogs. We introduced them to several. To say they fell in love with all of them is an understatement. They knew immediately they wanted to take Moolissa home. Then they inquired about doing a meet and greet between her and Rami. They had met Rami too, and they loved him.

We did a meet and greet between Rami, and Lissa, and it was GOLDEN!

So there’s that! Two adoption forms were pulled out and this wonderful couple signed on the dotted line.

We could not be more thrilled. This is the type of home we dream of for our guests. To think that not only one, but two of them went home with this wonderful couple is like a dream come true.

Thank you Bulgier fam! We are beyond grateful!
