In Montvale, Yard Waste will begin on April 3rd. Please check Montvale's website for details.

In River Vale, Garden Debris will begin on March 24th. Please check the River Vale Website for details.

Snow and ice shall NOT be thrown or placed into or on any public roadways in accordance with Township Ordinance 214-37(B).

Please help keep our streets safe by keeping shoveled snow off the roadways and allowing our River Vale DPW to continue their tireless efforts clearing snow and ice for the entire community. Your cooperation helps keep everyone safe. ❄️🚔

Here is the latest NWS Snow map as of this morning. The upper right always tells you when the map was issued. I will post updates as I get them. As of right now, snow starts in our area Sunday morning.

We hope everyone had a nice holiday. As we prepare for the upcoming weather, please remember to keep your cars off of the road, and keep a safe distance from plows. Also, please remember not to clean your cars off or place snow in the street to keep our streets safe!

Snow by: 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Ice by: 10 PM to Midnight
1" of snowfall by: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Total snowfall accumulation: 4 to 8 inches

Duration of the storm: Ending Saturday 7 AM to 9 AM
Sleet is expected to mix in intermittently during the late night and overnight hours, limiting additional accumulation, but keeping untreated roads slippery.

Please help our DPW crew to do their jobs safely. Drive safely and enjoy the weekend!
