🔥April 2026 Member of the Month🔥
Joel Gagliardi
During the month of April, The Riverdale Fire Department recognized one of our members who has dedicated many years of service to the Department through both operational and administrative roles, Joel Gagliardi. Joel, a long time resident of Prince George’s County, currently serves as the Department’s Treasurer and continues to play a major role behind the scenes in helping move Riverdale forward.
Recently, Joel has taken the lead in modernizing our financial reporting systems and improving the organization and functionality of our station. After identifying storage and workspace concerns within our tool room, Joel immediately stepped into action. Using his skills, creativity, and environmentally conscious mindset, he built new overhead storage shelving above our workbench using refurbished and donated wood. This project helped eliminate clutter, organize charging equipment, and free up valuable workspace for future projects and operational needs.
What leadership appreciates most about Joel is that he is a true self-starter. He sees problems and works toward solutions without needing to be asked. His dedication to good governance, productivity, accountability, and pride in the Department does not go unnoticed.
The current leadership team remains committed to supporting Joel in his role as Treasurer and in his occasional role as our station’s “Mr. Fix-It.” Thank you, Joel, for your continued commitment to The Riverdale Fire Department and for everything you do behind the scenes to keep this organization moving forward.
Joel, congratulations on being named Riverdale’s April 2026 Member of the Month.
