When students have what they need, they have more room to focus on what matters most…learning and growing.

The 2026 Class of Leadership Clayton is launching the Giving Shelf Initiative at Riverdale Middle School. The Giving Shelf is a student pantry designed to support local students and families facing a need.

The Giving Shelf will provide essential items including school supplies, hygiene items, clothing items, non-perishable goods, clear backpacks, first-aid items, and bottled water. We’re kicking off the initiative with a Donation Drive this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at the Riverdale Town Center, located at 7210 Church Street.

Help us stock the shelves and make sure that Riverdale students have access to the essentials they need to learn and thrive. Every donation makes a difference.

Clayton County Public Schools is hosting an Autism Awareness Community Meeting on Thursday , August 27 starting at 6 pm at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in response to recent incidents that have impacted our community.

This important meeting will provide families with an opportunity to connect with vendors and community partners who can offer valuable resources and support. The evening will also include a panel discussion designed to help parents and caregivers better understand important information and strategies to support the safety and well-being of all students.

We encourage families, caregivers, and community members to join us for this important conversation as we work together to create a safer, more supportive community for our children.
