NEW DATE: Commissioner Tashé Allen, in collaboration with Clayton County Senior Services, invites you to experience Flint on the Lawn: A Gospel Concert Under the Stars. Join us for this FREE, family‑friendly Clayton Connected event on Thurs., September 17, 2026, from 5 p.m.–8 p.m. at Flint River Community Center, 153 Flint River Rd., Riverdale, GA 30274. The evening will be filled with uplifting performances from the Flint River Community Center Choir, Frank Bailey Senior Center Choir, Sonna Singleton Gregory Senior Center Choir, and the Children’s Choir. Adding to the excitement, Avery Dixon, America’s Got Talent saxophonist, will grace the stage with a special guest performance. Enjoy a live DJ, food vendors, and fun giveaways as you relax under the evening sky. Don’t forget your lawn chair or blanket. For more details, call 770.347.0370.

The 2026 theme is “Happier Birthdays Happen Here” — because joy, creativity, connection, purpose, and resilience are all part of the magic happening inside our centers every day.

The Georgia Golden Olympics are 30 days away!

Join us for an exciting celebration of the Georgia Golden Olympics with the Torch Lighting Ceremony and Parade of Athletes on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the meadow at Lake Spivey Recreation Center, located at 2300 Walt Stephens Road, Jonesboro, GA 30236.

This free, family-friendly event welcomes the entire community and will feature a live DJ, food trucks, and an inspiring parade highlighting athletes from across Georgia. Come enjoy an evening filled with music, energy, and local pride as we celebrate active living and the spirit of the games.

Step up to the mic and shine at our FREE Public Speaking Workshop hosted by Flint River Community Center in partnership with the Office of Youth Services.
