ALM is proud to announce the membership elected Mayor Rusty Jessup of Riverside as its new president and Mayor Jason Reeves of Troy as its new vice president during the business session of the League’s annual convention in Montgomery yesterday.

With heavy hearts, the City of Riverside mourns the passing of former Officer C.A. “Chris” Crissler.

During his time with Riverside Police Department, Officer Crissler served with honor, dedication, and commitment to the Riverside community. His continued service and dedication as a K-9 officer made him a valuable resource not only to our department, but to agencies throughout the county.

He will be remembered not only for his work in uniform, but also for his wit, his caring nature, and the way he touched the lives of those around him. His passing is met with sadness and remembrance by those who served alongside him and by all who knew him.

Please keep his family, loved ones, and fellow officers in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
