The winners have been selected! 🎟️

Earlier this week we announced 120 free tickets to watch the Netherlands National Team train at Riverside Stadium on June 10, and the response from our community was incredible. More than 1,600 people submitted entries from across the country and even internationally!

While we loved the enthusiasm from everyone, only verified Riverside, Missouri residents were eligible. This afternoon, Mayor Kathy Rose presided over the drawing and 60 Riverside residents will each receive two tickets to the event.

If you are a verified winner, you will be contacted directly with next steps.

If you didn't win, you still have a chance! Sign up for Current Club, the KC Current's fan membership experience, by 11:00 p.m. CT tonight, June 5. Once you sign up, be on the lookout for an email to register for the drawing before 11:59 PM tonight.

Thank you to everyone who entered. We can't wait to see you at Riverside Stadium on June 10!

Heart #150 is home, and it's right here in Riverside!

The final sculpture in the 2026 Parade of Hearts is now outside the Morton Amphitheater, which had its grand opening Wednesday night. Mayor Kathy Rose was there for the occasion, and we even caught the forklift delivery on video.

150 hearts. 150 artists. One incredible KC tradition. And Riverside gets to close it out.

Want to know more about the sculpture? "The Midtown Artifact" draws from the terra cotta tilework of a 1929 Art Deco landmark in Midtown KC, brought back to life through 3D scanning and sculpting. A piece about memory, technology, and the beauty of preserving what time slowly takes away.

Thanks to Parade of Hearts for making Riverside part of something special! Come see it for yourself.

Let's walk together for a minute. This is the missing link on the Line Creek Trail, and it's officially open!

We cut the ribbon at 5:15pm last night, and we even had a cyclist come through right as we were cutting it. The section that's had trail users hopping onto sidewalks for years is finally connected, making the full 8.3-mile route through Platte County accessible end to end, from Riverside's E.H. Young Riverfront Park to 152 Hwy in Kansas City.

The trail winds through wooded areas, follows along Line Creek, passes a small waterfall, and is a good workout with the hills throughout, whether you are walking, running, or biking.

Parking and trailhead access is available at E.H. Young Riverfront Park, Renner Brenner Park, and Homestead Park.

Go check it out!

After more than a decade in the making, the Morton Amphitheater is now open.

Last night, Riverside celebrated opening night of a venue long in the works. The stage is set, the lights are on, and the doors are open. But before we look ahead, it's worth taking a moment to appreciate just how far this community has come to get here.

Mayor Kathy Rose said it best: "You don't have to be the biggest town on the map to make a big impact."

This venue didn't happen overnight. It took bold leadership, patient partners, and a community that refused to think small. It survived obstacles, delays, and even a global pandemic. It took the support of the Board of Aldermen, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the Morton Group, and an army of contractors, architects, engineers, and tradespeople who poured their work into every corner of this place.

And now it's here. A place where families will gather, where visitors will discover what makes Riverside special, and where memories will be made for generations.

Summer Breeze: a tribute to Yacht Rock kicked off opening night in style, and something tells us this is just the beginning.

UPDATE: Due to the overwhelming response to this giveaway, we will not be live streaming today's drawing. Winners will be notified directly following the 2PM drawing and we will post an announcement here shortly after. Thank you for your patience and good luck!
