reverting to a County-Wide Burn
Restriction allowing campfires ONLY. (see Okanogan County Emergency’s Website)

That’s a wrap for 2024 Fire season!

We’d like to congratulate Arnold Steven’s for being voted by our crew as fire fighter of the year. Arnold always shows up for us, day or night. Not matter the call or the need in our department and our community. Which also comes to no surprise that he got the award for most calls.

We also like to have a little fun with an award we call the “Bandaid” award.
In no way is a hurt firefighter funny, but we do like to have a sense of humor with some minor things.
Firefighter Sarah Dickinson earned our Bandaid award this year. So that you all know, she was and is ok. She took a fall from the back of a brush truck during a wild land fire. Those of us who know, being short comes with some extra gravitational pull sometimes 🤣
Otherwise, since Sarah has joined she has brought a lot of knowledge and commitment to our department.
Thank you all for continuing to support our small but mighty little department this last year!

A special shout out to IGA in Okanogan, Wa for the donation of a brisket for our banquet this year. Also, Jim Youngblood with Proline for the use of his amazing shop!
