RUSD's Human in the Lead: Balancing Human Intelligence and AI in the Humanities essential learning started today with Ramona, Arlington, and North ELA in Cohort A!

Over the next few weeks, all high school ELA & History teachers will take place in two days of learning on the pedagogy of AI in the classroom!

As we prioritize Human Intelligence Skills alongside ethical AI use, our ELA and HSS teachers are exploring how to keep humans in the lead—from AI transparency and academic integrity to intentional pedagogical decision-making.

This week, the CSBA Golden Bell trophy went on a field trip to 32 school sites across Riverside Unified to say thank you to the educators who make the magic happen for our students every single day. 💛

🎃 Our ILE pumpkin devoured the competition—and a computer! 💻⚡️ Powering up the micro:bit
with creativity, we carved our way to a second-place finish! 🥈🧠

Check out some of the details--coded the micro:bits for a spooky 👻 sounds and to flash ILE while the pumpkin 🎃 chomped up a Chromebook pieces--stripped wire hair, chip hair and teeth, and glowing 💡 inside Frankenstein!

Had an incredible day of professional learning with our amazing educators! 🤩🎉❤️

We dove into strategies for increasing engagement, differentiation, and building inclusive classrooms where all students can thrive. Sam Stoliker, expert at all things, assistive technology and fidgets, provided so many amazing ideas to support an inclusive environment for all learners!

🙌 From lots of examples, jigsaw of ideas, to collaborative discussions, teachers are walking away with practical tools to create more dynamic learning environments.

💡 Every student deserves to feel seen and supported, and today we empowered teachers to make that a reality!
