Thank you Cinnaminson Township Police Department🙏🤝💪

We would like to thank the Cinnaminson Township Police Department and the Cinnaminsom Police Association for their generous donation. As previously posted, an officer’s wife was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. These funds, along with the clothing we have been selling, are helping to support the family and raise awareness for those fighting a similar battle.

In this family, no one fights alone 🩷🩵💜

The Riverside police would like to thank The Madison and the staff for helping the Riverside Police Association organize and host The Bike Patrol Fundraiser. A fundraiser to benefit the purchase of new E-bicycles for the Riverside Township Bike Patrol Unit. We would also like to thank the following businesses who donated various merchandise and gift cards that were given as door and trivia prizes: The Home Depot of Delran., ShopRite of Delran, Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard of Cinnaminson, Arnieri's Pizzeria, and Vid's Deli & catering. Thank you to all of the family, friends, and supporters of our officers, who attended the event, purchased t-shirts, glasses, koozies and donated towards the fundraiser.

Patrolling on bikes, is a crime deterrent and allows us to closely interact with members of the community. The purchase of new and improved bicycles will allow us to continue our efforts of keeping the community safe and increase interactions with members of the community. We still have more to raise to reach our goal with purchasing a total of two E bikes, and two manual bikes if you were not able to attend last nights event, and/or would like to donate or purchase association apparel you can do so by sending payment through Venmo. “-PoAssoc”. You can pick up any purchased apparel at the station at any time.

In June 2022, officers Ptl. Griffin and Sgt. Perinho responded to a medical call for a resident suffering from a possible stroke. Upon arrival, officers located Mrs. Boyce who was in fact exhibiting signs of a stroke and in distress. Both officers were able to assist her and keep her calm until EMS personnel arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital where she was diagnosed with a life-threatening stroke. Thankfully, Mrs. Boyce was able to make a recovery. In honor of National Stroke Awareness Month, Mrs. Boyce came into the station to present both officers with red ribbons signifying stroke awareness as gratitude to them for their quick and compassionate response.

Here are some key signs of individuals suffering from a Stroke:

-Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg, especially on one side of the body.
-Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, or difficulty understanding speech.
-Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.
-Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or lack of coordination.
-Sudden severe headache with no known cause.

If you or someone else are exhibiting these symptoms, call 9-1-1 immediately!
