Checking in…👀 how are we doing during this heat wave?!☀️ More hot days are coming so make sure you’re staying cool and hydrated. When temperatures climb, make water your go-to drink and keep a reusable bottle filled with tap water nearby throughout the day.

Remember to take breaks from the heat, seek shade or air conditioning when possible, and check on children, older adults and pets. Stay safe, drink up and keep that water bottle handy!💧

Let’s talk BACKFLOW.💧

It’s a water term you may have heard, but what does it actually mean? 👀

Backflow happens when water flows in the wrong direction, creating the potential for unwanted substances to enter the drinking water system. That’s why preventing it is an important part of protecting water quality.

Leo from our Water Quality team breaks down what backflow is, how it happens and what Western Water does to help prevent it.✨
