The Eaton Collection at UC Riverside is the world's largest publicly-accessible collection of science fiction, fantasy, horror and utopian literature.

The Eaton Collection of Science Fiction & Fantasy is (arguably) the largest publicly-accessible collection of science fiction, fantasy, horror and utopian literature in the world. It is housed at the UC Riverside Library's Special Collections & University Archives in the Tomás Rivera Library.

New acquisition: ‘The Art and Making of Frankenstein: Artifact Edition’ (2025). This gorgeous, limited mini-archive includes ‘The Art and Making of Frankenstein’ (2025, Netflix), a bookplate signed and numbered by Guillermo Del Toro, a prop-replica portfolio reproducing 21 sketches features in the film, custom art prints, a facsimile reproduction of Victor Frankenstein’s notebook - and a statue of the Dark Angel from the film.

A new exhibit has landed at UCR Library! 
To celebrate the centenary of Amazing Stories—the magazine that helped define science fiction as we know it today—Klein Librarian Phoenix Alexander curated a pop-up exhibit on the first floor of the Rivera Library that showcases nine landmark issues in the magazine’s history. The exhibit will be up until 04/26, and will be available to view online later in the year.
