We are bursting with pride for the talented student filmmakers at Hillcrest High School and their incredible teacher, Mr. Roche! On 5/8/2026, these students premiered all 8 of their original films on the big screen at AMC Tyler Galleria, a true red-carpet moment they earned through creativity, hard work, and heart.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible: our Admin team at Hillcrest HS, Alvord Unified, and RCOE, along with our dedicated classified and certificated colleagues. It takes a village to bring student stories to life. 💜

🎉 Norte Vista High School, you’ve done it!

We are beyond proud to share that Norte Vista HS has been named one of just 182 Jostens Renaissance Schools of Distinction for the 2026 school year — a Gold-level honor! 🏆

This recognition celebrates schools that are transforming their climate and culture through the Renaissance Results Formula™. As a Gold School of Distinction, Norte Vista completed two Commitment to Graduate initiatives, recognized students and Staffulty, gathered feedback from their school community, elevated their school look, and tracked progress toward three meaningful goals.

This is what happens when a school community comes together with intention, heart, and a shared belief in every student’s success. Congratulations to the students, families, and the incredible Staffulty who make Norte Vista a place where students are seen, celebrated, and supported.

Celebrating BIG accomplishments at Collett! 

Our Collett Cougar Cubs are growing, learning, and thriving as we proudly established a TK Hub for our community and families. This opportunity gave our youngest learners a strong foundation to be kindergarten-ready and excited for school success!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing families for your continued support, and a special shoutout to our incredible TK teachers and assistants for the love, dedication, and care you give our students every day.
We are proud of all we accomplished this year and are already excited and ready for next year!

What an incredible day at Saturday’s Every Kid Deserves a Bike event!
 
Thanks to the generosity and partnership of our community, 110 bikes and helmets were provided to every 4th-grade student at Terrace Elementary, helping ensure more students have access to safe, healthy, and active transportation.
 
A special thank you to Riverside University Health System (RUHS), the City of Riverside, Air Quality Management District (AQMD), California Highway Patrol (CHP), Blue Zones Project Riverside, Ward 7 Council Member Steve Hemenway, Alvord Unified School District Board President Georgina Ramirez, and Trustee Amanda Vasquez for their support and commitment to our students. Together, we are making a lasting difference—one bike at a time!

🎥👏 A huge THANK YOU to the incredible Norte Vista High School Film Crew for live streaming all of our graduation ceremonies this year!

Under the outstanding direction of Mr. Lomeda and Mrs. Luther, our talented student crew delivered professional-quality broadcasts that allowed families, students, staff, and community members to celebrate these special moments from anywhere.

To our student filmmakers and production team—thank you for your dedication, commitment, and exceptional work. Your countless hours behind the cameras, in the control room, and preparing each broadcast did not go unnoticed. You helped create lasting memories for thousands of families across our district.

We are incredibly proud of you and grateful for the excellence you bring to every event. Thank you for making our graduations so special!

Yesterday, May 27, we celebrated the amazing Norte Vista High School Braves Class of 2026! 🎓💙🤍 It was a special night honoring the hard work, perseverance, and achievements of our graduates. We were also proud to have members of the Class of 1964 representing and celebrating alongside our newest alumni — a beautiful reminder of the lasting Brave spirit through the generations! Congratulations, Braves — your future is bright!
