Meet Peter Aldana:
Leadership
When Assessor Larry Ward informed me that he was not going to seek re-election and was planning to honor me with his endorsement should I decide to run, it was a moment which filled me with gratitude and determination. As Larry’s Assistant Assessor since 2009, my skills as a leader were stretched and shaped with every challenge that arose. When the real estate crisis
reached its lowest point, and the County experienced severe budget cuts and staff reductions, my team was charged with finding a way to proactively review the values of hundreds of thousands of homes to make certain that Riverside County residents would pay only their fair share of property taxes. We did more with less and accomplished this enormous task through smart planning, the innovative use of the latest technology, tenacity and hard work. Under my leadership, the Assessor’s Office will continue to provide excellent value for your tax dollar. Our office has a statewide reputation for being highly productive while maintaining quality valuations. We have revamped our website in order to give better access to residents, so that they may have a better understanding of the factors that contribute to the assessment of their property. We will continue to do more with less by using the latest in technology to improve our efficiency and accuracy, as well as to make our business more transparent to taxpayers. Lifelong Commitment to Riverside County
As a lifelong resident of Riverside County, I understand that its residents demand and deserve elected officials that are honest, fair, efficient, and committed to serve them with the highest quality of public service. I have been fortunate to work for the County’s Assessor-County Clerk for 25 years, serving first as a Real Property Appraiser and working my way up through the ranks holding supervisory and management positions since 2002. I have seen firsthand how the leadership of former Assessor Gary Orso and current Assessor Larry Ward has made a difference for county residents. Core Values
If elected I will bring fairness, integrity, efficiency, accountability and a commitment to excellent public service to Riverside County Assessor’s office. Taking the lessons I have learned, and the core values that we have embraced in the Assessor’s Office I will ensure that the residents of Riverside County get the government they deserve.
