CBK Charter School

CBK Charter School CBK Charter School is an independent
study program for students ages 13 and in 9th
grade - Adult Take the first step by calling 877-RCOE-CBK.

Students who have fallen through the cracks are offered an opportunity to make up credits, find classes they need, and get special training. Students have the opportunity to:

- Prepare to take the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)
- Complete high school graduation requirements/credits
- Partner with local Youth Opportunity Centers for career, college, and job readiness
- Complete cour

se work through an on-line credit recovery program option
- Visit local colleges and universities
- Take part in a formal graduation ceremony
- Enroll in Career Technical Education classes

At CBK, our belief is that there are two reasons to go back to school: YOU and YOUR FUTURE! We are a WASC accredited program and require only 200 credits to earn your high school diploma! President Obama said in his Address to Congress in February 2009:

It is our goal to become significant adults in your life, your new extended family, the people you can count on. We will register you in one of our CBK centers located in Riverside County. Some of our students attend Monday through Friday 3-4 hours a day, while some work at home and bring in assignments weekly. We’ll tailor a schedule that works just for YOU.

CBK Diplomas for the 25/26 school year are ready for pick-up!

CBK Diplomas have arrived for those students who completed all coursework by May and did not attend Summer School in June. Summer graduate diplomas are not ready yet.

Students need to schedule their Diploma pick-up.

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at CBK Charter School. Our staff is excited to partner with you to ensure a productive and successful year for all our students.

Our first day of school is Monday, August 17, 2026. CBK teachers will reach out by phone and/or email the week of August 17 to check on student progress on assignments and schedule student appointments. New students were given an initial CBK assignment to complete and bring to their first appointment. Returning students were also given an assignment by their previous teacher due on their first day of school. If you have any questions about these assignments, make sure you discuss them with your teacher when they call to schedule your first school appointment. Just a reminder, CBK students are expected to attend school at least twice a week and may be required to attend small groups for ELA, Math, and/or Language Support.
