The Socialist Rifle Association is an education and advocacy organization dedicated to providing marginalized communities and the working class with the education, the skills, and the advocates necessary to be effectively armed for self and community defense. We recognize all aspects of self and community defense to include topics such as fi****ms, disaster relief, medicine, hotdogs, logistics, agriculture, general survival skills, and other pursuits necessary to unify and strengthen communities against the hardships of life under capitalism. We seek, advocate for, and advance an inclusive, safe, and healthy fi****ms culture in America to combat the toxic, right-wing, and exclusionary firearm culture in place today. We work to create a platform, environment, and community of members and like-minded individuals that are free of reactionary influences and prejudices, such as racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other discriminatory ideologies. We maintain the necessity of and work towards the implementation of an anti-capitalist platform for protecting and promoting the inherent human right to defend oneself and one’s community.

Do you dryfire?

For many, buying ammunition and routine training can be expensive. Adding up to more $$$ that could be spent on other essential items like food, water, and medical supplies.

Dryfiring is a way to improve your shooting and comfort around fi****ms without needing to break the bank. After ensuring your firearm is clear from any live ammunition, you can use an empty chamber or snap cap to practice pulling the trigger and manipulating the firearm. Training without using live ammunition can allow you to practice different drills that focus on various skills such as magazine changes, trigger pulls, transitions, etc. Through routine dryfire training, you can improve grip, trigger control, and overall handling. Practicing these skills can transfer over onto the live range, allowing you to be more comfortable with your firearm and shooting skill.

Dryfiring isn’t a replacement for training with live ammunition but this is a great way to supplement your training and allowing you to focus on specific skills that can improve your overall shooting.
