After seven wonderful years at Magnolia—first as your Assistant Principal and now as your Principal—I am writing to share that I will be transitioning to a new leadership role at another school next year. While I am excited for this new chapter, it is with a heavy heart that I prepare to say goodbye to the Magnolia family. Over the years, I have developed such amazing relationships with students, families, staff and community members.
Together, we have achieved incredible things. I am especially proud of the sustainable systems our teachers and staff have built to support both the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. These efforts were instrumental in Magnolia being recognized as a California Distinguished School last year. I could not be more proud of everyone’s hard work and dedication to ensuring Magnolia students continue to grow and thrive daily.
I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to our parents, our School Site Council, and our wonderful PTA. Your volunteerism and partnership have truly enriched the Magnolia experience.
Next Steps:
For Students: I will be sharing this news with our students during our Friday Flag ceremony this week. If you wish, please feel free to talk with your children about this transition beforehand.
Leadership Transition: The district is already in the process of selecting a new principal, and we expect an announcement regarding my successor very soon.
I will forever cherish the time spent with all of you. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything as we navigate the remainder of the school year together.

Después de siete maravillosos años en Magnolia primero como Subdirectora y ahora como
Directora les escribo para comunicarles que el próximo año asumirá un nuevo rol de liderazgo
en otra escuela. Si bien me entusiasma esta nueva etapa, me despido con pesar de la familia
Magnolia. A lo largo de los años, he cultivado relaciones extraordinarias con estudiantes,
familias, personal, y miembros de la comunidad.
Juntos, hemos logrado cosas increíbles. Me siento especialmente orgullosa de los sistemas
sostenibles que nuestros maestros y personal han implementado para apoyar el desarrollo
académico y socioemocional de nuestros estudiantes. Estos esfuerzos fueron fundamentales
para que Magnolia fuera reconocida como Escuela Distinguida de California el año pasado. Me
siento sumamente orgullosa del arduo trabajo y la dedicación de todos para garantizar que los
estudiantes de Magnolia continúen creciendo y prosperando día a día.
También quiero expresar mi más profundo agradecimiento a nuestros padres, al Consejo
Escolar y a nuestra maravillosa Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA). Su voluntariado y
colaboración han enriquecido enormemente la experiencia en Magnolia.
Proximos pasos:
Para los estudiantes: Compartir esta noticia con nuestros estudiantes durante la
ceremonia de izamiento de la bandera de este viernes. Si lo desean, pueden hablar con
sus hijos sobre esta transición con anticipación.
Transición de liderazgo: El distrito ya está en el proceso de selección de un nuevo director, y esperamos un anuncio sobre mi sucesor muy pronto.
Siempre atesoraré el tiempo que compartí con todos ustedes. No duden en contactarme si necesitan algo mientras afrontamos juntos el resto del año escolar.
