Ontario Police initiated a traffic stop however the driver of a newer white GMC pick-up truck failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated.

From Ontario the pursuit first headed east on the 60 fwy then it headed back west on the 60 fwy then it transitioned to the southbound 71 fwy towards Corona. Then just north of the 91 fwy a CHP unit that assisted Caltrans on a road closure attempted to deploy a spike strip to disable the vehicle however the spikes were not effective.

Shortly there after the truck and several pursuing officers transitioned onto the southbound 133 fwy towards Laguna Beach.

The truck eventually came to a stop on Laguna Canyon Rd just north of Canyon Acres Dr. where the driver of the truck was taken into custody without any further incident.

A VIN check of the truck revealed the vehicle was not registered. The truck did not have plates of any kind and it appeared to be brand new.

The operator of the truck was referred to as Nile.

No further information was available at the scene.
