Seeing the office transform for the holidays has been a highlight of the season for the Auditor-Controller's Office. The true joy of this project wasn't just in the lights and ornaments, but in the shared effort of our team.

It was inspiring to watch staff members come together to collaborate, lift each other up, and fill our workspace with genuine warmth. That sense of unity and friendship is what makes this time of year so meaningful.

Taking home the trophy for the RivCo Holiday Decorating Contest is an incredible honor, and we are so humbled by the recognition. We are proud to accept this award as a testament to our team coming together, smiling a little brighter, and celebrating the true spirit of Christmas right here in the office.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to the judges for seeing the love we poured into our displays. From our ACO family to yours, we wish you a season filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.

This season, the Auditor Controller’s Office is proud to support the Children in Need program for Riverside University Health System. Our team came together to donate gifts that will bring comfort and joy to children facing serious medical challenges. This effort reflects our continued commitment to serving Riverside County not only through financial stewardship but through meaningful community outreach.

Auditor Controller Ben J. Benoit extends his gratitude to Juan, whose leadership and dedication were instrumental in coordinating this initiative and ensuring that every donation reaches a child who deserves hope and encouragement.

The ACO remains focused on strengthening the communities we proudly serve. Acts of service like this demonstrate how public agencies can come together to uplift residents and create a positive impact beyond daily operations.

Thank you to all who contributed, and thank you, Juan, for leading with heart and purpose.

Our November Countywide Oversight Board meeting was filled with major milestones, heartfelt goodbyes, and exciting new beginnings.

Chair Chris Gerry announced that this serves as his final meeting with the Board. Joining the Board in August 2022 and leading as Chair throughout 2024, Chris has accepted a well-deserved promotion with the City of Palm Desert.

We also bid a fond farewell to our esteemed colleague from the Executive Office, Imelda Delos Santos, as she enters retirement. Imelda was instrumental in the successful transition of duties from the EO to the ACO, her dedication and institutional knowledge were vital to that process!

In a touching moment, Riverside County Auditor-Controller Ben J. Benoit presented both Chris and Imelda with Certificates of Appreciation. We are incredibly grateful for their service and send our warmest wishes for their next chapters! 👏

As we prepare to welcome Chris’ alternate to our regular meetings, we are also proud to announce the results of the annual leadership vote. Starting in January 2026, Russ Martin will assume the role of Chair, with our new member, Dr. Toper Taylor, serving as Vice Chair.

We want to thank every member of this Board for their time and unwavering dedication. Your work ensures transparent, effective oversight that protects the interests of our residents and strengthens our local government.

The Board will reconvene in January 2026.

The Riverside County Auditor-Controller’s Office will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.

As our nation pauses to reflect, we honor the courageous men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, past and present. Their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our freedoms represent the highest values of service to others. We also recognize the families of our veterans, whose support and resilience make their service possible. Their contributions often happen quietly, yet they are deeply meaningful and appreciated.

To all veterans and their families throughout Riverside County and beyond, we extend our heartfelt appreciation. Your service and sacrifice have strengthened our communities and our country.

Our office will reopen on Wednesday at 7:30 AM.

With respect and gratitude,
