Riverside Township is still providing Essential Services (FOOD PANTRY, NURSE'S CLOSET, GENERAL ASSISTANCE AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE) and will continue during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place.
We will be in the office with reduced staff during regular hours. The front doors of the building will be unlocked, but our office doors are locked for the protection of staff and the public. We ask that you CALL BEFORE COMING IN. 708-442-4400. Once you come in, get our attention through the glass windows that surround our office doors, and we will direct you further. Requests for assistance will be handled by appointment, and we will be maintaining social distancing. Nurse's Closet has a clip board with the request form at a high top table in the hallway that can be slipped under our front door. We will not be bringing you downstairs to select your equipment, but will instead bring the equipment up to you. Food Pantry will check IDs through the window and will place the tote bags outside our other door for "curbside pick-up". We will have a notary on duty, and please call us for instructions, or email us at
[email protected].
A Big Shout Out to Hauser Junior High Administrators who are helping us keep the Food Pantry stocked from the Food Drive!
Due to Covid-19, the Assessor’s Office can only provide telephone-meetings for residents; no walk-ins. Because the County Assessor is no longer accepting paper appeals, the entire process will be completed online. Call: 708-447-7700 or email:

Finally, the Mental Health Board's Community Resource Center personnel will NOT be in the office, but will be checking voicemail if you need any assistance they can provide: 708-853-9578.
