The 4th annual Washington County Mutual Aid Association Fire School was held this weekend at the Riverside training center. The classes covered Command, Fire Attack, Search, Ventilation, Ladders, Forcible Entry and Driver Operations pumping & working on the fire ground. There was 55 students between the 2 classes from RFD, Kalona Volunteer Fire Department - KVFD Wellman Volunteer Fire Department Ainsworth - Ia. Volunteer Fire Department Washington Fire Dept. North Liberty Fire Department Solon Fire Department Crawford Township Benefited Fire District Columbus Junction Fire and Rescue Mount Vernon Fire Department thanks to all of our sponsors who helped make this a great day.

RFD Chief and Riverside Casino Security Director had the honor of presenting these life saving awards to these two RFD members. The RFD crew of Toby Hancock and Tonia Rebling performed live saving CPR and Patient Care on a visitor at the casino. Their quick response and excellent patient care resulted in a life saved. The RFD crew was also assisted by Washington County Ambulance and Casino Security.
