These shirts are more than just a way to show our support—they help make a difference. Proceeds from this year’s shirts will again be donated to the Pink Heals Foundation, helping firefighters support those affected by cancer in our communities.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Former Chief Dominic Vespa.

For more than 60 years, Dominic served with unwavering dedication, answering the call time and time again with courage, pride, and a deep commitment to his community. His legacy is one of selflessness, strength, and brotherhood—values that shaped not only our department, but every member who had the honor of serving alongside him.

Dominic was more than a firefighter—he was a mentor, a friend, and a cornerstone of this firehouse. His presence, wisdom, and stories will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Dominic had many roles throughout his time at Riverton Fire. From Firefighter to holding the rank of Safety Officer, and even Chief. Most recently serving on the Fire District Board as a trustee. Dominic had 39 years of service as a nationally registered EMT and was recognized by NREMT in 2013 for 30 continuous years as an EMT. Dominic was known for his love of learning. Dominic’s training portfolio was large, taking multiple folders to hold his certifications. As much as he love learning, he loved sharing that knowledge just as much.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Vespa family, his friends, and all who were touched by his incredible life of service.

Rest easy, Dominic. Your watch is over—we’ll take it from here. Godspeed Brother!

Yesterday, I had the honor of presenting an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to Teddy Bear Christian Daycare on behalf of the Riverton Area Fire Protection District.

This project was especially meaningful to me because I had the opportunity to spearhead this initiative from start to finish. Knowing that this AED will be available to help protect the children, staff, and families at the daycare makes all the hard work worthwhile.

This is exactly why I ran for the Riverton Fire Protection District Board—to make our community safer, stronger, and better for everyone. Every project, every partnership, and every improvement is another step toward that goal.

I want to thank Teddy Bear Christian Daycare for allowing us to partner with them in this important effort. I also appreciate the support of my fellow Fire Board Trustees and the Riverton Area Fire Protection District for making this donation possible.

I’m excited to continue working on initiatives that improve public safety and positively impact our community.
