Also assisting neighboring departments in Jackson and Ingham County. “The mission of the Rives/Tompkins Fire Department, a paid-on call organization, is to serve the community by preserving life and property resulting from fire or other emergencies, natural or man caused, of the residents of Rives and Tompkins Townships through fire suppression, fire education, and fire prevention in a responsible and professional manner. We will work towards excellence in the services we provide and will continue to seek out new opportunities to serve our community. Rives/Tompkins Fire Department also assist our surrounding communities in time of emergencies.”
