Spending the evening at the When We All Vote Palm Beach County Candidate Forum, taking the opportunity to hear directly from those who currently represent us—and those seeking the privilege of representing us—at the local, county, state, and federal levels. Events like this are a great reminder of how important it is to stay informed, ask questions, and engage in the democratic process.

I look forward to hearing each candidate’s ideas, priorities, and vision for the future. Regardless of where you stand politically, one thing we should all agree on is the importance of participating in our elections.

Be informed. Be engaged. Most importantly, make sure you vote. Every election matters because every vote has the power to shape our future. 🇺🇸🗳️

Great things are happening in Riviera Beach schools—and the numbers prove it.

As Vice Chair of the Riviera Beach Education Advisory Board, I am proud to share some wonderful news about our neighborhood schools.

The latest School District results show that real progress is being made:

📚 Bethune Elementary improved from a C to a B.

🎉 John F. Kennedy Middle School earned its first B rating in school history.

⭐ Washington Elementary improved from a C to a B and came within just two points of earning an A.

👏 Lincoln Elementary maintained its B rating.

📈 West Riviera Elementary made impressive gains and is now only three points away from a B.

Perhaps most exciting, third-grade reading scores—the foundation for future academic success—rose dramatically, including:
• Bethune: 33% to 54%
• Washington: 36% to 64%

These achievements are the result of the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, principals, school staff, parents, and the leadership of the School District of Palm Beach County.

There is still more work ahead, and we must continue striving to ensure every Riviera Beach child has the opportunity to succeed. But today, we should pause to celebrate the progress that has been made.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make these accomplishments possible! I remain committed to supporting our schools and working with our community to help every child reach their full potential.

What an incredible and proud moment for the City of Riviera Beach! Being named a 2026 All-America City is a reflection of the heart, resilience, and commitment of our residents, community partners, and local leaders.

Having called Riviera Beach home for more than 20 years, it has been an honor to serve this community and to be part of our delegation in Denver celebrating this well-deserved national recognition. I am especially grateful to Riviera Beach Councilwoman KaShamba Miller-Anderson, District 2, whose vision and leadership helped create two of the three award-winning programs recognized today. The Citizens Leadership Academy has inspired countless residents to become engaged leaders, while our Youth Council continues to empower and develop the next generation of civic leaders through service, leadership, and community involvement.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this achievement possible. This recognition belongs to the entire Riviera Beach community and is a reminder of what we can accomplish when we invest in our people and work together for a brighter future. 💙❤️🤍🏆

Today I had the privilege of attending the Women’s Foundation of Florida’s “Women on the Run” graduation celebration in West Palm Beach.

It was especially meaningful to celebrate my friend and colleague, Yolanda Cope, as she completed this six-month leadership development program. Yolanda and I first met through the Palm Beach County Housing Leadership Academy, where we worked together on housing initiatives aimed at strengthening our communities.

Programs like Women on the Run play an important role in preparing and encouraging women to step into leadership positions. Our communities are stronger when talented women bring their voices, experiences, and ideas to the table—whether in government, nonprofit organizations, community groups, or civic life.

Congratulations to Yolanda and all of the 2025 graduates. Their commitment to service and leadership is inspiring, and I was honored to be there to celebrate this achievement with them.

It was a pleasure to speak this morning at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church ⛪️!

I was grateful for the opportunity to share information about the importance of enrolling our children in high-quality early childhood education programs 📚🧸🍎. Investing in our youngest learners today helps build a stronger future for our community tomorrow.

A special thank you to my Mount Olive family for the invitation, warm welcome, and continued support. It’s always a blessing to be back home among family and friends.

Tonight I had the honor of speaking at the retirement celebration for Mr. Dan Calloway — a true Riviera Beach legend. For 64 years, through the Riviera Beach Youth Athletic Association, he has impacted generations of children by creating opportunities, mentoring young people, and helping develop not just athletes, but future leaders.

People often talk about leaving a legacy. Mr. Calloway lived one. Riviera Beach is stronger because of his service and commitment to our community.

Congratulations, Mr. Calloway, and thank you for all you have done for Riviera Beach.
