Village of Roaming Shores Residents,

It has been my pleasure and great honor to serve the Village of Roaming Shores for the past two years.

I have stepped down from my position as Village Administrator to attend the police academy, with the goal of returning to Roaming Shores as a full-time police officer in 2027.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you for the support, encouragement, and opportunity to serve this community. During my time as administrator, I had the privilege of working to make the Village better in whatever ways I could. Through your support, love, and even the occasional strong coaching, you have helped me become a better leader and a better person.

The Village is currently working diligently to find the right person to fill the administrator position. They are committed to finding the best fit rather than simply rushing to fill an open seat. Beginning this afternoon, Mayor Helms will oversee the Village's daily operations during this transition.

Kerri Philips and I originally created this page with the goal of providing residents with accurate information and facts about the Village. Following my departure, I am not sure whether the page will continue to be utilized, but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has followed and supported it.

Thank you again for allowing me to serve this community. I will always hope for the very best for Roaming Shores, and I will forever appreciate everything this Village has given me over the past 24 months.

Respectfully, always,
Mark R. Reed II

Residents,
Please be advised that the village's water tower has been depleted to very low levels. Please conserve water to the best of your abilities while still enjoying your holiday. This will give the tower a chance to catch up. Thank you in advance and happy 4th.

Residents,
Please be advised on 6-25-26 the Village utility crew will be removing greenery at the base of the dam (west side) for dam maintenance. There will also be a staffed controlled burn of last year's greenery that has been approved by Morgan Hose fire department. Please disregard if you see smoke near the village hall dam overflow area.
Respectfully,
Mark R Reed ll

The 2025 CCR Has been posted to the Village website:

A CCR (Consumer Confidence Report) is an annual water quality report that a public water system provides to its customers. It explains where the village's drinking water comes from, what contaminants were tested for, the results of those tests, and whether the water met all state and federal drinking water standards.

Simple description:

A Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is the yearly report card for a village's drinking water. It tells residents where their water comes from, what was found in water quality testing, and confirms whether the water is safe to drink according to EPA and Ohio EPA standards.

Purpose:

Inform residents about their drinking water quality.
Explain any contaminants detected.
Show compliance with drinking water regulations.
Build public trust through transparency.
