Village of Roaming Shores

The Village of Roaming Shores would like to remind residents that our communication and billing system, Muni Link, has the capability to send important notifications, including:
• Boil alerts
• Emergency notifications
• Billing notices
• Service-related updates
To help us provide this information quickly and accurately, we encourage all residents to submit their current phone numbers and email addresses.
The Village can send notifications to specific areas during localized boil alerts or emergencies, as well as Village-wide notifications when broader communication is necessary. Without updated contact information, we may be unable to reach residents regarding emergencies, billing matters, or other important service issues.
While providing this information is voluntary, it is strongly encouraged for any resident who wishes to receive timely notifications concerning emergencies, boil alerts, billing matters, or service interruptions that may require immediate attention.

Residents,
Please be advised the east side of the lake will observe low water pressure temporarily as we work on a water line on Acacia circle. There will not be a need for a boil alert. This is planned work not an emergency or break.

Please be advised that water tower and building had a communication error this morning. It has been resolved we will be back to full pressure in a couple hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The village is flushing hydrants for a test, you may experience some low water pressure shortly. No need for a boil alert or alarm.

Update:
Residents on the streets below,
Soncere , Sugar Creek, Pierpont, Lake Crest, Dorset and Morning Star, if you lost water or had extremally low pressure.

We have conducted work on the water main on Soncere. We are issuing a “Boil Alert” for the next (48) Hours. Please ensure you take the proper precautions.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), all water used for drinking, cooking, and oral hygiene should be brought to a full boil for a minimum of one minute. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms that might be present in the water. It is not necessary to boil water for other uses.

Reasons Advisories are Issued:

Boil advisories are issued as a precaution with a customer's best interests in mind. A Boil advisory is most often declared for the potential of contamination even when that potential is very low.

It is possible, but unlikely, that bacteria could enter the water system from power outages at severe main breaks.

Advisory Duration:

Once an advisory is declared it must last a minimum of 24 - 48 hours before Environmental Protection Agency rules allow it to be lifted.

Boil Advisory Precautions:

While the boil advisory is in effect, The village of Roaming Shores also recommends that customers:

o Do not swallow water while you are showering or bathing

o Do not use home filtering devices in place of boiling; most home water filters will not provide adequate protection from microorganisms

o Keep boiled water in the refrigerator for drinking

o Provide pets with boiled water after cooling it

o Throw away beverages and ice cubes if made with tap water

o Use only boiled water to treat minor injuries

Please be advised a contractor hit our water main on Soncere. The village is working to get it repaired as fast as possible. Thank you.

Residents of Roaming Shores,
Please note that due to the election on 5-5-26 the village hall will be the primary voting location. 2500 Hayford rd Roaming Shores Ohio 44084.
Please note also that the village hall will not be open for walk in business for billing, the phones will still be monitored, and business will continue as always behind closed doors to not disturb voting.

Update:
Water was fully restored, due to the water not being completely shut off during construction efforts no need to extend the forman road boil alert.

Attention Residents,
Please be advised there has been a water main break on Forman Road. Our supply line from Jefferson. The VRS team is working hard to restore the line. Please conserve water at this time as we will only be supplied from the tower until fixed.
Please note: The break is near Hayford on Forman please use caution in the area or take another path for employee safety and expedited construction. Thank you!

Update:
The water main on forman has been restored as of 1850hrs. 650pm on 4-30-26.
If impacted and total loss of water please conduct boil alert protocols. Impacted locations are Millcreek road and Forman. Thank you.

Please be advised the county is conducting work on Foreman road. Our supply line from Jefferson was damaged. The VRS team and County are working hard together to restore the line. Please conserve water at this time as we will only be supplied from the tower until fixed. Updates will be supplied here as they come.

The road is closed at eagleville and foreman road. Eagleville is passable, foreman south is not.
