We’re excited to see Virginia's Blue Ridge Restaurant Week return September 12-20! 🍽️ The event highlights the power of regional collaboration, and the important role local restaurants play in our economy and quality of life. VBR Restaurant Week helps restaurants reach new customers, encourages residents and visitors to explore the different communities across our region, and showcases the unique dining experiences that make Virginia’s Blue Ridge a great place to live, work, and visit. It’s a valuable opportunity to support local businesses while celebrating the restaurants, entrepreneurs, and communities that make our region such a vibrant and distinctive destination.

The Chuckwagon by Big Daddy’s BBQ is officially rolling into Hanging Rock Tavern for its Grand Opening tonight!

We’ll be serving up authentic Texas-style barbecue from 4 PM to 8 PM, bringing all your favorites straight from the smoker to the tavern.

Business Appreciation Month is a great opportunity to recognize the power of regional partnerships that strengthen our business community. 🤝 We’re proud to highlight some of the recent events and initiatives our team has supported across the region to help advance business growth, workforce development, and community investment:

• Roanoke Regional Chamber’s Good Morning VBR event at YMCA at Tanglewood, highlighting the continued transformation and momentum along the Tanglewood corridor

• Supporting our vibrant community and promoting Roanoke County, Virginia at the Local Colors Festival in Downtown Roanoke

• Celebrating the opening of four new miles of the Roanoke River Greenway at Roanoke County's Explore Park

• Attending the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Showcase and Regional Registered Apprenticeship Signing Night with the Salem RidgeYaks, along with the Chamber’s annual Community Day at Feeding Southwest Virginia

• Presenting updates on this year’s County budget, housing study, and recent transportation projects to The Greater Williamson Road Area Business Association

• Supporting the launch of the Roanoke Foodshed Network’s Roanoke Regional Food & Farm Trail, a new initiative connecting residents and visitors to farms, local food businesses, and agricultural experiences throughout the region

• Attending the Legislative Wrap-Up hosted by area chambers, bringing together business and community leaders to hear directly from Virginia’s state delegation on issues shaping the Commonwealth’s future

• Attending Governor Spanberger’s bill signing at the Roanoke Higher Education Center supporting K-12 and Career & Technical Education initiatives
