The City Treasurer's Office is responsible for collecting Real Estate Taxes, Personal Property Taxes, Business License Fees, City-Wide Invoices, EMS Bills, Dog Licenses, Short-Term Rental Taxes, and Trust Taxes for Meals, Admissions and Lodging. City Offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. This includes all Roanoke Public Libraries branches and PLAY Roanoke’s Eureka Recreation Center.

🚨 Roanoke Police Department - VA, Roanoke FireEMS Department, Sheriff's Office and City of Roanoke 911 Center remain on duty to serve the community.
🎉 Both City pools and the Discovery Center will be open Friday, July 3, 2026, and Saturday, July 4, 2026. Please note that both pools have a clear bag policy in place.
🎆 Freedom Fest is Friday, July 3, 2026, at River’s Edge Park on Reserve Avenue. Festival activities kickoff at 4 p.m. and the fireworks display begins at 9:30 p.m.

DMV Select services will be unavailable at the Treasurer’s Office from Thursday, May 28 through Wednesday, June 3, 2026, while staff prioritize personal property tax payment processing.

All other Treasurer’s Office services will remain available during this time.

Residents are encouraged to use online DMV services at www.dmvnow.com until DMV Select transactions resume at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026.
