From counting to calculus, math is a connected story. ➕📐

Just before the school year began, RCPS teachers in our K-12 Vertical Mathematics Cohort followed mathematical ideas along the same path our students take, from foundational kindergarten skills to complex high school concepts.

In one activity, the progression was brought to life by solving a single problem using content from every grade level, allowing our educators to see how their work builds upon what comes before and prepares students for what comes next!

Introducing Fourth Thursdays at the Community Empowerment Center with New Horizons Healthcare! 🩺🦷

Next Thursday, August 27, New Horizons will offer a variety of family medical services and children’s dental services by appointment, as well as behavioral/mental health consultations upon request.

Can't make it next week? Appointments will also be available September 24 and October 22, giving families three opportunities to access healthcare services at the CEC.
