Thank you for your hard work, dedication and support throughout this campaign. It has been an honor to run and to connect with so many of you. Last night I called Congressman Ben Cline and congratulated him on his re-election. I also had a chance to speak with Ken Mitchell and congratulate him on a well run campaign.

The continuity of our republic depends on free, fair and peaceful elections. It is the duty of all of us to accept the result of this election and to unify our country. As we saw last night, our country is deeply divided. No doubt that these divisions remain. However, I am optimistic for our future. This campaign may not have ended the way we had hoped, but the connections we've made and the progress we've achieved will not be in vain.

Thank you for the opportunity to run. While this chapter is closing, I know there are many more to come. God bless you all, and God bless our beautiful Commonwealth, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

Today is Election Day! Polls are open until 7:00 P.M. Get out there and make your voices heard today! It’s time to choose a new leader for the 6th district, one who will put the people first! Republicans and Democrats have had their chance - and they’ve failed. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Let’s send a veteran, a coach, business leader and independent to Washington! It’s in your hands! When the polls close, join us as we celebrate this historic campaign and watch the results come in!

Today, we remember the lives that were lost on September 11, 2001. Our country was forever changed on that fateful day, but the spirit of America was not, and cannot be broken. We honor the heroism of first responders and ordinary citizens who became heroes that day. As we reflect on this solemn anniversary, let us recommit ourselves to the ideals that make our country strong - unity, resilience, and compassion. May we never forget.

Statement from Robby Wells Regarding School Shooting at Apalachee High School.

As news continues to unfold in Winder, GA, my heart goes out to the victims and families at Apalachee High School. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been affected by this callous act of violence. For too long we have seen this same sad story unfold across our country.
We have allowed politics to blind us from the fact that our greatest asset, our children are not guaranteed safety in the current system.Both sides of the aisle will debate gun legislation as a knee jerk reaction to this ever familiar tragic story… but for the family members that have lost a child to gun violence in schools, the debate is over.
Solving this issue has been front and center of my agenda for the past decade. May we honor those lost by implementing a plan that will once and for all protect every child in every school across our nation.

My plan, “Vets for Kids” will eliminate gun violence in every school, protect our children, protect every American’s Second Amendment Right, and employ over half a million Veterans as guardians for our children.

To do the same thing over and over again is the definition of insanity, yet we continue to allow this violence to occur.

We must move in a new direction, and I vow to the families of every child lost to gun violence in schools that this will be my number one priority.

May God have mercy on us as a people and May God have mercy on these United States.

Team Wells had a great day yesterday as we traveled across the 6th, taking part in the Labor Day festivities in Buena Vista and in Covington! We enjoyed meeting the people, and spending time with other elected officials as we kicked-off the fall campaign! Thank you to our volunteers who made yesterday possible, and thank you to the people of Buena Vista and Covington for the warm reception! We will see you again soon!

Thank you to the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce for hosting a meet and greet for our campaign last night! We had a great time meeting everyone, and of course, we had to stop by Cucci’s for dinner afterward. We look forward to being back in Covington next Monday for the Labor Day parade!
