Hey neighbors! We will be hosting our June neighborhood meeting on Thursday, June 4th at 6:30pm.
We will be meeting at the Wasena Park Brick Shelter!

What to expect?
🌸 We are welcoming Lead Safe Roanoke for a discussion of their program and application process!
🌸We will be holding our annual WNF board elections!
If you are interested in running for a board position, please email [email protected] reach out to a current board member directly!

Due to impending storms, we will be postponing the Wasena "Adopt-a-Street" Cleanup/Plawk event originally scheduled for tomorrow at 6pm. It looks like we will have many days of rain this next week, so we will continue to monitor the weather and update our email list and our social media accounts as soon as a new date is determined!

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope everyone that was planning to attend can make it to the event on the new date (TBD).

Howdy neighbors!🌸 MAY 14TH @ 6PM•OUTSIDE HANG 10
Please join us this Thursday for a historical walk around Wasena! In cooperation with the Historical Society of Western Virginia and Arts Connects Neighbors, we are coming together for a tour of Wasena's iconic buildings and storied homes.
Be prepared to walk a few miles around the neighborhood 👟🌸
🌸The Roanoke Neighborhood Tour is provided through the Arts Connect Neighbors program with funding from the City of Roanoke and the National Endowment for the Arts.🌸

Howdy neighbors!

Happy May! The Wasena Neighborhood Forum is excited to announce our participation in the Roanoke City Neighborhood Month this year! We will be celebrating by hosting three events in our neighborhood over the course of May. Please join us for any and all of these events. We kindly ask that you RSVP for each event you plan to attend so we can have a general head count. Please see the flyer below for details on each event!

Wasena Neighborhood Tree Walk
Thursday, May 7 at 6pm
Meet at the corner of Main Street and Winona Avenue

Wasena Neighborhood History Tour
Thursday, May 14 at 6pm
Meet outside Hang 10 in the grassy area
Rain date: May 13 - final date TBD on May 11th

Wasena "Adopt-A-Street" Cleanup/"Plawk"
Thursday, May 21 at 6pm
Meet at the corner of Main Street and Winona Avenue
Please be sure to submit a safety waiver prior to attending the event (QR code in flyer)
