Tomorrow is Harvest Fest at West End Farmers Market from 3-6pm! The apple press will be out, pie samples will be available, and pumpkins will be painted by kiddos!

What to look forward to when you sign up for a Farm Share:

🫜Discover new foods grown locally. Let our skilled staff curate a box of vegetables, fruit, and pantry items for you each week.

🚙Grab & go! Come to your weekly pick up site at Carilion's Riverwalk Parking Garage or the LEAP Community Store. Knowledgeable staff are at pick up to answer any questions!

📰All members receive a weekly emailed newsletter to let you know what to expect in your share, who grew it, and how to cook it.

🔪Get creative in the kitchen....try new recipes, eat more meals at home, and eat more fruits and vegetables.

🍽️Enjoy 11 weeks of the best produce our region has to offer! Feel good about the food your eating which supports your health, provides income for farmers, and suppors LEAP's food access programming. Eating local is a form of community support!

We are overjoyed to receive a generous gift from Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church to purchase a new Mobile Market vehicle! We have been looking to fund this project for the past 3 years as we have outgrown the design of our truck with the increased variety of foods we offer on the Mobile Market. Thank you RCPC for investing in our local food community and LEAP's mission to increase access to healthy local food. 💚

Volunteers are crucial to our food access work. During Fall we have a lot to do, especially in the Community Gardens and the Scratch Kitchen. Find volunteer opportunities on our website to sign up or share this and tag someone who might be interested in volunteering.

It's Fall Y'all! This is one of our favorite seasonal shifts when it comes to food. Here's what we are excited about in the LEAP Community Store. Come shop Tuesdays (3-6pm during West End Farmers Market) and Wednesday -Friday (11am-6pm) for these fall treats and more!

We're feeling grateful for a transition into slower times and cooler days after a breakneck but very productive summer. We are starting the gradual shift from “Main Season” to not-quite-as-busy “Winter Season”. During this seasonal transition, we make sure to come together and celebrate food and farming (check out Apples & Acorns and Harvest Fest events!), capture the riches of summer before they're all gone (volunteer in the Kitchen!), and ready ourselves for winter eating (Winter Farm Share Registration!).
