An Important Touch-a-Truck Update

Friends, this wasn't the update I was hoping to share today.

After lots of prayer, watching the forecast, and talking through every option, we've made the difficult decision to move Touch-a-Truck Roanoke to Sunday, August 2.

🕒 Quiet Cruise: 3:00–4:00 PM
🚚 Main Event: 4:00–7:00 PM

I know changing plans isn't easy, and I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience. But more than anything, I want this day to be filled with laughing kids, smiling families, and memories they'll talk about all year—not everyone trying to dodge the rain.

My heart has been in this event for months, and making this decision was incredibly difficult. We explored every option we could, but in the end, we felt this gave our families, volunteers, and participants the best chance for a great day together.

Because this decision had to be made quickly, some trucks, vendors, or activities may change if they aren't able to attend on Sunday. We're reaching out to everyone now and will share updates as we receive them. We appreciate your grace and understanding as we work through those details.

I truly believe God has a reason for everything. While this wasn't the outcome we were hoping for, I'm trusting that He has a plan bigger than we can see right now.

Thank you for supporting this event, for praying with us, and for loving this community so well. We have poured our hearts into creating something special for our kids, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

Good morning. Just a reminder for anyone in central Illinois please be on the lookout out for all the St Jude runners today. Please be patient if traffic gets backed up. Let's help support this great cause they do for the children and families. Our Chicago runners should be coming through town at 9am and headed to the Roanoke park.

Just a reminder Saturday is the St Jude run. Let's show our community support Saturday morning and cheer on the runners. We will be meeting them around 9a at RFA and escorting them in to the Roanoke park for their gathering.

Did you know…

Your phone’s Medical ID can be a resource for first responders in an emergency?

It can display information like:
• Medical conditions
• Allergies
• Medications
• Emergency contacts

To set it up on an iPhone, open the Health app → Tap your profile → Medical ID → Edit → Turn on Show When Locked.

To set it up on an Android, go to Settings → Search “Medical ID” or “Safety & Emergency” → Add your medical information and emergency contacts. Wording may vary by manufacturer.

It only takes a minute and could make a big difference when every second counts!
