On Our Own of Roanoke Valley Our mission is to promote recovery by providing a safe, consumer-run alternative for the purpose of On Our Own of Roanoke Valley, Inc.

is a Drop-in Center that strives to improve the quality of life of mental health consumers by sponsoring self-help groups such as “Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) & Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA) and socialization for mutual support. Activities include Bingo, Chess and Checkers, Card Games, Cook-outs, Pizza parties, Outdoor Recreation, Music Appreciation, Arts and Crafts, Microcomputer Instruc

tion, Holiday Activities, Coffee, Tea, Snacks, and more. Please come and be with us! Membership is open to anyone who has spent 48 hours in a psychiatric institution, is on SSI or SSDI, or is presently receiving therapeutic treatment or counseling for a mental disorder.
