We're bombarded by the media with reports that contain only bad news. So it's refreshing to receive information that details positive events and activities. Martinsville's Community Recovery Program shared with us information about a specific group of artists in the Martinsville/Henry County area that are taking a stand against violence and sharing a message of hope. The group, Positive Elevation Movement - or PEM - is comprised of males and females from various racial groups and ethnicities who are frustrated with the senseless violence in their communities. They've created a rap titled "Unstoppable" that encourages individuals to stop the violence and take responsibility for their actions. http://www.piedmontcsb.org/pcs2012/CommunityRecovery.html
