We had a great time today for our open house and had a nice turnout. Also, thanks to everyone who came out to join us.

Thank you Daniel Denny,cooks and all who had a helping hand in making today a success. Thanks Jamie Prevette and friends for the entertainment. Y’all done great.

This year makes 51 years for shepherds crossroads VFD.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Retired Fire Chief Dale Pierce, who passed away today at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem as a result of injuries sustained from a fall on January 9th. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family.

Chief Pierce will be truly missed by his family, the community, and all members of the Roaring River Volunteer Fire Department. His years of service, leadership, and dedication left a lasting impact on all who had the honor of knowing and working alongside him.

Please keep the Pierce family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be shared as soon as they become available.

Everyone stay safe if you must go out use extreme caution as it is already getting slick and will just be getting worse . Avoid hills and bridges when possible.
Also beware of slick steps, decks, and sidewalks
Stay warm
Stay home if at all possible
