A short-term closure is planned for the Adams Lane bridge to complete needed drainage improvements. The bridge is expected to close around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 30 & reopen by Oct. 12. An overnight closure is also needed on KY 425 on Sept. 29.

The Henderson City-County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on September 2, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Henderson County Courthouse (3rd Floor). The hearing will cover a zoning text amendment placing a temporary moratorium on industrial-scale wind energy conversion systems (WECS) while new regulations are developed. The moratorium will remain in place until July 1, 2026, or until new rules are adopted. This effort is aimed at aligning future projects with the County’s Comprehensive Plan and protecting public health, safety, and welfare.
