It is with great sadness that we share the passing of former Chief Engineer Charles Johnson, who passed away early yesterday morning. Charles proudly served the Robbins Fire Department for 42 years, from June 1979 through June 2021.

Chief Engineer Johnson dedicated more than four decades of service to our department and community. His commitment, dedication, and service will not be forgotten.

Please keep his family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you all.

Village of Robbins – Power Outage Update

Approximately 357 residents are estimated to be without power at this time.

As we work through Day One of our initial community assessment, Village crews are focused on ensuring public ways remain open, identifying immediate hazards, and addressing public safety concerns throughout the community.

As our assessment progresses, we will open additional lines of communication regarding assistance that may be available to affected private residents.

Additionally Council Mtg tonight is cancelled.

Before Dwyane Wade was a Hall of Famer, he was a kid growing up in the Village of Robbins. On July 26, 2026, we made it permanent: renaming Claire Boulevard to Dwyane Wade Boulevard.

Village of Robbins Village Hall will be closed tomorrow, July 31, for Staff Institute Day. Our team will be participating in organizational training focused on enhancing the services we provide to YOU!

Village Hall will reopen on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. during normal business hours.
