Beginning September 1, kids can earn Library Explorers trading cards by exploring books, library tech, activities, and more! Trade these cards with your friends, or collect them all to play Critter Bonanza!

Also next month, readers of all ages can go on an outdoor reading journey with Story Stroll! Enjoy nature, literacy, and exercise as you walk along the pages of a real picture book.

See where reading can take you every Wednesday and Thursday during September from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, weather permitting.

Please do not open any emails or click links with the subject, "You're Invited by Washington Genealogy". The link leads to a fake Gmail login page used to steal login information.

If any user clicks the link, they should immediately change their Google password and log out of all sessions through the 'Security & Sign-in' page.

This Health Literacy session is free and open to this public!

Join us at the Crawford County Public Library this Thursday, August 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM for a free Narcan training session.

This Health Literacy session is provided in partnership with IHOPE INC. through their Community Opioid Response & Education initiative.

We’d like to thank the Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy GCSU for awarding Middle Georgia Regional Library a grant of $1,500 to support this year's Summer Reading Program.

Former First Lady of Georgia, Sandra Dunagan Deal, was a strong advocate of early childhood literacy and education. This grant helps us encourage children who visit branches in our library system to read during the summer break by offering incentives like snacks, prizes, and entertainment at their local library.

We are proud to be a part of the Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy’s vision of a Georgia where everyone has the tools to support children on the path to literacy.

🪄 The magic of dinosaurs is coming to our library next week with a performance with Magician Evan Dupree!

Stop by on Thursday, July 16 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM for a spectacular performance that blends sleight of hand, education, comedy, and audience participation to get kids excited about reading!

Did you know that our library offers free Technology Literacy classes in partnership with Fort Valley State University?

These classes are for anyone who is interested in learning about computers and technology trends. Topics covered include computer basics, online safety, digital tools for financial wellness, and how to build your own digital brand.

Classes are hosted every Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, and we offer Certificates of Completion for patrons who complete each module of the class.

Take a look at what we're doing for our Summer Reading Program!

This year, we've hosted special guest visits from the Bright Star Touring Theatre, Georgia Farm Bureau, and Georgia College & State University to present engaging programs that encourage children to read during the summer.

The theme for this year's Summer Reading Program is Unearth A Story, and our young patrons have learned about topics like Georgia agriculture, sediments and fossils, and how different types of dinosaurs lived in prehistoric times!

By offering free and educational family activities, our library helps combat the summer slide, which is when children may lose skills they learned from the previous school year during summer break.
