The Secretary of State has received numerous inquiries and complaints from county boards of elections and Georgia citizens regarding a recent voter registration mailing distributed by a third-party organization.
The organization, Ready to Register Inc., has mailed voter registration applications to an unknown number of Georgia residents. The Secretary of State has also received reports indicating that some mailings have been sent to deceased individuals and that outdated data sources may have been used in the mailing process.
Crawford County Board of Elections and Registration would like to remind voters of the following:
1. These mailers were not sent by your county board of elections or the Georgia Secretary of State's Office.
2. Exercise caution before providing any personally identifiable information (PII) on unfamiliar websites or to unknown organizations.
3. If voters have questions or concerns about a mailing they received, they should contact the organization responsible for the mailing directly. According to the organization's website, Ready to Register Inc. can be reached at [email protected].
4. If a voter is already registered at their current address, no action is required. The mailing may simply be discarded. Online voter registration (https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/olvr-home) is also an option for unregistered citizens that meet the eligibility requirements.
5. We encourage voters to routinely verify their voter registration status and personal information by visiting Georgia's My Voter Page (https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/), visiting our office at 640 GA Hwy 128, Suite 124, Roberta, GA 31078, or by calling our office at 478-836-1877.
Please remember: Voter Registration deadline for November 3, 2026, General Election is October 5, 2026.
