This week, School Resource Officers with the Robertsdale Police Department are attending The Alabama Association of School Resource Officers-TAASRO annual conference in Orange Beach. Our SROs are receiving specialized training and networking, while collaborating with other law enforcement and educators from across the State, to help protect our students and build a stronger, safer school community.

We are proud of the dedication our SROs demonstrate and appreciate the work they do!

The Robertsdale Police Department is grateful for our Correctional Officers and the work they do each and every day.

Their job requires professionalism, patience, and sound judgment in an environment that can be unpredictable and, at times, dangerous.

Their work often goes unseen, but it is essential to the overall mission of law enforcement and the safety of our community.

This week, May 3rd–9th, 2026, is National Correctional Officers Week, and we are incredibly grateful for all that they do to keep our community safe.

A few highlights from this week of our officers fulfilling the mission. Sometimes “protecting and serving” can look a little different. Like helping a stranded motorist get back on the road. Sometimes it looks like taking a few minutes to sit down, and draw with a child. The Robertsdale Police Department is grateful for the opportunity to be there wherever and however we’re needed!

What an amazing way to wrap up 2026 Public Safety Telecommunicator Week.

A big thank you to Terry Waters with Water’s Nursery and Farm for treating TC Vontroba to a thoughtful gift basket, and to Sweet Home Coffee for blessing TC Adkinson with some of her favorite snacks and lots of coffee coupons to help power through those long shifts.

We also want to thank Mayor Ruthie Campbell, who not only spent part of her evening in our Dispatch Center sharing a meal with our team, but also made sure each of our Telecommunicators received a thoughtful gift.

The support and appreciation shown this week has truly been incredible. Thank you to everyone who donated and showed appreciation to our amazing and hard-working Telecommunicators!

As we wind down this week highlighting our hardworking and dedicated RPD Dispatchers, we want to thank a few more local businesses for “adopting” and treating TC Vontroba and TC Cook.

Our dispatchers felt the love all week and we truly appreciate each of you for helping us celebrate the voices behind the call!📞✨

The love and generosity that has been shown to our dispatchers this week has been truly remarkable.

TC Vontroba has not only been busy behind the scenes today; she’s been busy meeting and greeting the faces of our wonderful community and its businesses as they have graciously provided baskets full of goodies.

The department and its Communications division would like to give thanks to Mr. Jonathan Lynn with Sweat Tire, Walmart, PenAir Credit Union, Dr. Brian Pierce with Central Baldwin Chiropractic Center and Samantha Pitts - Alfa Insurance Agent
