🛠️Big congratulations to Mr. Tommy Adkins of the 558th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron on receiving a commander’s coin from Col De Paul!✈️

Mr. Adkins has made a tremendous impact through his leadership, expertise, and commitment to mission success at Robins Air Force Base. Leading his team, he helped deliver five painted C-130s and two F-15s in just 11 days, crushing the 31-day production requirement.
He has also played a vital role in training and mentoring new aircraft painters, strengthening the team’s skills, boosting readiness, and helping reduce quality write-ups by 343.
Mr. Adkins’ hard work, dedication, and drive for excellence continue to make a lasting difference for the mission, the 558th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and the Air Force.

🎉 Congratulations to Mr. Shane Rogers of the 559th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron! 🎉

On Friday, Col De Paul presented Shane with his commander’s coin in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, exceptional leadership, and steadfast dedication to the mission.
As an Aircraft Mechanic Leader producing C-5 aircraft, Shane has consistently proven himself to be an incredible asset to the 559th through his professionalism, dependability, and top-tier performance. He sets the standard every day with his hard work, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence.

Over the past several months, Shane has also stepped up to serve as the alternate supervisor for the inside hydraulic crew, taking on increased responsibilities and providing strong leadership to the team. His ability to lead by example, keep the crew focused, and help drive mission accomplishment has made a direct and lasting impact on the squadron.
Shane’s dedication does not go unnoticed. His contributions continue to strengthen the 559th and play an important role in ensuring mission success.

🔥Honoring True Heroes on the Flightline 🔥

We are incredibly proud to recognize Leisa James, Shernell Moore, and Chuckie Harvey of the 559th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron for their extraordinary
bravery and quick thinking during a recent emergency on the flightline.

When a piece of equipment suddenly caught fire, these three industrial heroes didn’t hesitate. They immediately pushed the burning equipment away from people and aircraft, worked together to get the fire under control, and promptly
called first responders to the scene. Their decisive actions saved numerous lives and prevented what could have been a catastrophic loss of aircraft.

Their unwavering courage was publicly recognized by
Col. De Paul, who presented each of them with his Commander’s Coin.

Thank you, Leisa, Shernell, and Chuckie — you embody the very best of our team. Your heroism reminds us all what it means to be a wingman and look out for one another and protect the mission.

True heroes don’t wear capes — they wear coveralls on the flightline.

The Importance of F.O.D. Prevention in Aircraft Maintenance
Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D.) may seem small, but in aircraft maintenance, the smallest object can have the biggest consequences. A loose bolt, piece of wire, metal shaving, or forgotten tool can damage critical aircraft components, compromise safety, or even contribute to an aircraft mishap.
That’s why every mechanic must take F.O.D. prevention seriously—before, during, and after every maintenance task. Keeping work areas clean, accounting for tools and hardware, and removing debris are simple actions that protect the aircraft, the crew, and the mission.
F.O.D. prevention isn’t just housekeeping—it’s mission protection. One piece of debris removed today could prevent a major problem tomorrow.
