Attention Crawford County Residents:

We are pleased to announce that the first distribution of the 2025 payable 2026 real estate taxes will be available for pickup beginning tomorrow at the Crawford County Treasurer’s Office. This distribution pertains to the real estate taxes collected for the upcoming fiscal year and is an important source of funding for local schools, municipalities, townships, libraries, and other taxing districts within our county.

If you are an authorized representative of a taxing district, you may pick up your distribution check at our office during regular business hours.

For those taxing districts that receive their distributions via ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment, please note that your funds will be electronically deposited and should appear in your account by Monday, July 27th. This method ensures secure and timely delivery of funds directly into your designated bank account. If you have not yet signed up for ACH payments and wish to do so for future distributions, please contact our office for assistance with enrollment.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth distribution process. If you have any questions regarding the distribution, pick-up procedures, or ACH enrollment, please contact the Crawford County Treasurer’s Office.

Thanks,
Rikki Callaway

** IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER **

Crawford County residents, our office is diligently working to prepare and mail the 2025 payable 2026 real estate & mobile home tax bills by June 1st. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important process.

Please remember that property taxes should be paid on or before the due dates to avoid additional penalties, publication costs, certified mailing fees, and other charges as required under Illinois State Statute. Failure to pay delinquent taxes may result in your property being offered at the annual tax sale. Payments made timely help avoid unnecessary expenses and possible sale in error situations.

Thank you for allowing us to serve the citizens of Crawford County.
