Today, a group of our officers completed the Murph Challenge.

Normally, we would have completed this workout on Monday in observance of Memorial Day, but with several members out of town for the holiday, we decided to postpone it until today.

The Murph Challenge is a tough, meaningful workout honoring Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who gave his life in service to our country in 2005. It’s also a way to remember and pay tribute to all fallen service members.

The workout consists of:
• 1 mile run
• 100 pull-ups
• 200 push-ups
• 300 squats
• 1 mile run
(All while wearing a 20 lb vest or body armor.)

A big thank you to Anytime Fitness for supporting our team and helping make today possible!

May 10th through May 16th is National Police Week, a time to recognize the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across the country.

We thought this would be a great opportunity to share some of our department’s activity and service statistics from January through today:

• Traffic Stops: 1,617
• Calls for Service: 5,172 (including officer-initiated activity)
• Arrests: 57
• Citations Issued: 641

Thank you to all officers for their continued dedication to serving and protecting our community each and every day.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The Robinson Police Department would like to warn residents about an uptick in scam activity targeting our community.

We have recently received reports of individuals receiving phone calls claiming they missed jury duty in McLennan County and now have a warrant for their arrest. The caller then instructs the victim to withdraw cash and deposit it into a Bitcoin machine to avoid being arrested.

We have also received reports of text messages claiming the recipient has unpaid traffic citations or traffic warrants out of Harris County. These messages often contain a QR code directing the recipient to make a payment.

⚠️ These are SCAMS. ⚠️

Law enforcement agencies and courts do NOT notify individuals of warrants in this manner, and you will never be instructed to pay fines or clear warrants through Bitcoin machines, gift cards, QR codes, or similar payment methods.

If you receive one of these calls or messages:
• Do not send money
• Do not scan QR codes
• Do not provide personal or banking information
• Hang up or delete the message

If you have any questions about the authenticity of a message or phone call, please contact the Robinson Police Department at 254-662-0525 before taking any payment action.

Please share this post to help protect others in our community.

🚓 Vehicle Crime Prevention Tips 🚓
The Hewitt Police Department would like to remind everyone to take a few simple steps to help prevent Burglary of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and catalytic converter thefts.
🔒 Lock your doors – Even when parked at home.
🎒 Remove valuables – Don’t leave purses, bags, electronics, or fi****ms in your vehicle.
💡 Park in well-lit areas – Lighting and visibility can deter criminals.
🏠 Use cameras or motion lights when parking in your driveway or on the street.
🚗 Protect your catalytic converter – If possible, park in a garage or close to your home, and consider installing a catalytic converter anti-theft device.
Most vehicle burglaries happen because vehicles are left unlocked or valuables are left inside. A few quick steps can make a big difference!
If you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, please report it to the police.
Lock it. Hide it. Keep it. Do the Hewitt Hustle!
