ROE 12 hosted a Short Term Sub Training yesterday in our Olney office in preparation for this coming school year. Assistant Regional Superintendent Corrie Ray, ASSIST Superintendent Kyle Shelton, and Regional Superintendent Jeremy Brush spent the afternoon training future substitute teachers and students completing their teaching certification. ROE 12 Licensure Specialist Amy Frohning spoke to candidates about the process of signing up to substitute and also pursuing a teaching license. Grand Canyon University provides sub sandwiches (Subs for Subs) and spoke about their licensure program.

ROE 12 is proud to continue to offer multiple trainings per year. Since Illinois began offering this approval, our office has place over 400 new subs in ROE 12 schools.

It’s that time of year! In the next week, school will return to session and buses will be out. It is important that we all know and obey school bus safety laws to ensure the safety of everyone.

Congratulations to the Early Childhood Education Program of ROE12! We are excited to announce that ALL ROE12 Preschool For All (PFA) sites across Clay, Crawford, Jasper, and Lawrence Counties have officially earned the GOLD CIRCLE OF QUALITY through ExceleRate Illinois!!!

This designation - awarded by the Illinois Department of Early Childhood - recognizes programs that demonstrate the highest benchmarks in teaching, quality, learning environments, family partnerships, and administrative leadership.

Thank you to all our incredible teachers, staff, and school partners for their dedication to preparing our youngest learners for a bright future!
