When I originally said I don’t go to Facebook to get my information, what I’m reading now is exactly why. It can turn into a sewer really quickly. Social media is a great way to show this or that but not negatively. I am seeing support that is humbling and appreciated from people I don’t know well or much at all. I am asking all residents to please stop any and all attacks on candidates. Robinson is much better than this. We can point out what we think is good for our town and how we might do things different then let the cards fall. I’m so ready for this election to be over- I bet my opponent is as well. I don’t think either one of us are “bad guys”. We just have an urge to serve. We may differ on some subjects but hopefully in the end those differences aren’t radical like so much in our country today.

Please- let’s all bring Robinson together in a positive manner rather than the fighting back and forth. Let’s all work together to better our town.

Today is a 1st for Robinson as I accepted a statewide award from the Texas Economic Development Council. This award is a result of great relationships with other entities including McLennan County, The Greater Waco Chamber, The Waco Industrial Foundation, and the City of Waco. This award shows Robinson’s commitment to fostering important relationships and coming together to make great things happen such as landing the Walmart milk processing center. This showcases the working relationships I’ve been fostering in the background. Relationships are key to our growth!! This is not one person’s award…credit is shared with all of the entities; Kris Collins; and Craig Lemin for their tireless efforts working to better our city and region.

This is one of my proudest moments for our town! It solidifies our efforts as a national player for major business. We are currently courting other potential suitors which I look forward to the great growth and seeing the positive change in Robinson!!

Welcome to the limelight! It is now time for us to exhibit great character and resolve. I am asking you for two more years. Let’s continue together in making lasting change in our great town.

What has Mayor Bert Echterling accomplished for the City of Robinson?

FIRE DEPARTMENT

Over the last several years we have increased Fire Dept funding by 80%.

We are funding the new engine already in service today, and the city will be receiving its first ladder truck next year, which is needed for the larger buildings being constructed and helps improve our rating for lower insurance rates for Robinson homeowners.

What has Mayor Bert Echterling accomplished for the City of Robinson?

PEPLOW PARK

Bert was on the founding park committee that provided the much-enjoyed Peplow Park.

Bert led procurement of the generous help from a previous Robinson resident, Ray Lewis, and physically laid the stones for the original park sign; and he is currently working on another grant to help grow the park, mainly for a splash pad, coverings, and ADA accessibility.

How has the City of Robinson benefited from ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT under Mayor Bert Echterling’s leadership?

Procuring new business to come to our town has been a strategic priority with substantial success in the last several years.

Here a just a few notable businesses welcomed to Robinson during Bert’s time as Mayor:

- Anytime Fitness
- Bare Arms Brewery (coming early 2025 will offer the area's best Biergarten!)
- Encompass Health
- La Cocina
- Las Tapatias
- Marco’s
- Metal Finishing Solutions (finishes parts for Tesla in Austin)
- McDonalds
- Taco Bell
- Tejun
- Walmart Milk Processing Plant (one of five in the United States, sources milk from local regional dairy farmers and will provide milk to more than 700 stores in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas)

Bert and city leaders continue to collaborate with several other businesses and industries whose identities are protected by confidentiality agreements, but the opportunities are “very exciting”!!
